Mega Good News in Shoes

Several weeks ago I was invited to check out the relaunch of Marshall's shoe department, now Marshall's Shoe Mega Shop. Never one to turn down a good invite, I found my nearest location and headed out.

With a $50 gift card in hand, I was looking for a great pair of basic black pumps. I was also secretly hoping that I would find such a good bargain, I could maybe pick up a second pair - some sort of cute sandals for summer.

I'm assuming you've been to the Marshall's shoe section in the past. Remember the rows and rows of racks piled with shoes, sans boxes, sizes all jumbled together? They've now remedied that problem by creating attractive units that easily display shoes and store a variety of sizes (in boxes) right there for easy grabbing. They clearly took a cue from DSW where you can stand in one corner of the store and scan all the shoes. I like this. Much better.

I found my black pumps, Anne Klein. I haven't worn them yet but it's just an inevitability at this point, these are the kind of black pumps you have forever. At just $39.99 I knew I could get a decent discount on a second pair. That's when I saw the Kenneth Cole Reaction silver sandals that have become a major go-to pair for me. I love 'em! And I got them for $15. I love that!
